Peru focuses on the industry 4.0 ecosystem of Barcelona’s Zona Franca

The Peruvian ambassador in Spain, Walter Francisco Gutiérrez, has been received by the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, and the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, during his visit to DFactory Barcelona.

Barcelona, September 8, 2023.- DFactory Barcelona today received the visit of the Peruvian ambassador in Spain, Walter Francisco Gutiérrez, who wanted to know first-hand the industry 4.0 ecosystem of the Barcelona’s Zona Franca that makes up this innovative building, along with other projects such as the Logistics 4.0 Incubator or the 3D Incubator Barcelona.

During his visit, the Peruvian ambassador in Spain was accompanied by the Peruvian Consul General in Barcelona, Antonio García Revilla; the Peruvian Consul in Barcelona, Mario Cateriano; and the diplomatic official of the Embassy of Peru in Spain, Giancarlo Mori. The delegation was received by the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, who pointed out that “the Zona Franca of Barcelona is a privileged enclave to develop innovative and sustainable projects since it has the infrastructure and ecosystem necessary for it. It is an honour to see that we are a model of reference worldwide in the promotion of industry 4.0, as shown by the fact that DFactory Barcelona has become the ecosystem of industry 4.0 of reference in Southern Europe”.

After the official reception, there was a corporate presentation of the different projects developed by the Consortium of the Barcelona’s Zona Franca in its aim to promote the 4.0 economy, as well as a visit to the facilities of DFactory Barcelona and several of the companies installed. In this way, the Peruvian delegation has been able to verify the potential of the Zona Franca of Barcelona for companies that want to develop their activities in a sustainable and innovative ecosystem and, in turn, in a privileged location due to its proximity to the Port of Barcelona, Barcelona Airport and the city itself.
